What is PRP?

Volume of autologous plasma that has a platelet concentration above baseline (whole blood).

How is PRP processed?

It is autologous human blood that is spun down and separated producing a concentration of platelets above normal values. Platelets are the clotting cells of our blood, but they also have great potential in enhancing healing of muscle, tendon, and ligaments. Growth factors released by platelets recruit reparative cells, may augment tissue repair, and accelerate soft tissue healing.

Why platelet?

They provide essential growth factors, which are involved in stem cell migration, differentiation and proliferation. They also stimulate fibroblasts and epithelial cells , keratinocyte to induce respectively new extracellular matrix deposition and neo-vascularization.

Why does it need to be activated?

Within 10 minutes after activated; actively secreting more than 95 % of the GFs during the 1st one hour. Following by synthesize & secrete additional GFs for the remaining several days of their lifespan. (5-9 days).

Why PRP?

PRP is developed from Autologous blood, it is safe and free of transmissible diseases such as HIV and hepatitis ∗ It is prepared from patient’s own blood, it is natural product; the risk of rejection or allergic reactions is minimized.
